The Blueplanet Solutions Group has developed a candidate selection strategy which seeks to ensure that only the right candidates are selected for interview by their clients. This involves meeting with their clients so that they can fully understand the requirements of a recruitment assignment, sourcing candidates who meet those requirements and thoroughly interviewing selected candidates to ensure that they fully understand and appreciate the client’s business and the client’s job requirements.

Shortlisted candidates for a particular position, are expected to complete a Candidate Planning Document (CPD) to ensure that they fully research the company, that they document their understanding of the job requirements and that they identify how their knowledge and skill can contribute to the company’s success.

Blueplanet recognises that its recruitment success has come from its ability to source quality candidates for its clients. It has achieved this via a comination of candidate search and advertising. Whilst recognising that advertising for IT staff is still a very effective method of attracting potential candidates, Blueplanet also finds that many of its more appropriate candidates are located via search. Because of Blueplanet’s partners’ experience in recruitment over many years, they know where the ideal candidates are located and how they can attract them to new and more challenging opportunities.
